Question

Photoshop can't save files

Hello!

Yet another awesome feature - PS forgot how to save files. I manually saved a file, 3 times, each time it told me "font failed during last operation" or something along those lines, allowed me to just turn off the file without asking to save - and boom, it saved nothing, not even in auto-save files.

When we might expect a version that is not trashed with the most basic bugs, where the answer to a problem is not "reinstall everything and reset everything"?d: At this point I'd have to reset and reinstal everything several times a day d:

There is a quite involved thread with issues related to your error and different soutions.

Solved: "Selected font failed during last operation" Issu... - Adobe Support Community - 11022556

One of these might be a short answer for you.

Can you explain more what you are experiencing? or maybe send the screen shot to see? you cannot print?

Currently I'm doing a UI (can't share files, but will record it if it will happen again" - I'm using certain fonts, all of them from Adobe Typekit, everything works well, where all of the sudden when I want to edit a certaint texts it tells me the font failed (a font that used to work 10 min ago).

And at this point when I want to save the file, it will start loading %, around 90% it will say "font failed during last operation" and something like " please diable the fonts if it continues to happen" (not exact quote). And when I turn off the document - it's not saved. Saving it as a new instance also does not make the new file when this error comes up.

Recently I had to hard-close PS, because the error was poping up over and over again, I couldn't get rid of it to even change the fonts d:

If it is a must use font after you are done. Duplicate layer of type and turn it off. Then Rasterize type, you can only edit the layer turn off now. But it should print without problems.

Photoshop do not support Postscript fonts any longer. Maybe this is the reason of what you are experiencing…

It could be, but those are the fonts from Adobe Typekit, I'd guess it supports those?XD
