I have had this problem for months. Whenever a dialogue does not pop up when you are saving a file. Try, right clicking the Photoshop icon in the doc and choose hide. then choose show. you get the dialogue!

Has anyone reached a conclusion on this?  I have the same problem to the extent I keep losing edits because I can't close down other files and now it's frozen on save mode even thought Photoshop itself is still responding when I try and clidk about 10 escapes I can manage to start work again.  Im on  Macos Monterey v12.3 using latest photoshop available on CreativeCloud.  With every new update this yr I am waiitng for a fix on this but its a slow process and still not working.

Hi @Laura Antonia Photography Go to Photoshop Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details in a reply. Post only once as the system takes time to process the large amount of data.

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble with Photoshop. Would you mind sharing the exact version of Photoshop you're using along with the macOS version you're running on the computer? Are you not getting the Save As dialog box at all after clicking the menu option?

If you're working on macOS Catalina or macOS BigSur, please go to the System Preferences for your Mac, then Security and Privacy, then select the Privacy tab. Then select Accessibility from the list to the left and check if you see Photoshop added to the list with a check mark in front of it. If Photoshop is not a part of the list, please add it by unlocking the window first using the lock at the bottom left, then clicking the + icon and navigating to the Applications folder. Also, grant permissions to Photoshop under Full disk access located in the same list as Accessibility. Once done, restart the Mac and check if it helps.

Let us know how it goes!

Regards,

Nikunj
