Photoshop cannot set the default storage format?

Be sure to use action?

This is too low and very inconvenient.

Because sometimes I often need to save as TIF

For a while, I often needed to save it as PSD

Saving to TIFF as default is not possible. The most practical workaround is to create an action and assign an F-key to it.

This would make a good feature request. Post it under "Ideas".

(Somewhat ironically, if the image is coming from Lightroom, TIFF is the default).

The action is very inconvenient to realize.

In particular, there are too few definable keys.

Another way of thinking, is it possible to implement it by script?

Scripts are easy to define shortcuts.

Since you are on Windows, you can use the keyboard in the following way.

When the Save/Save As dialog opens, the file name will be highlighted.

Press Tab once to give focus to the Save as type field.

If the desired file type isn't already displayed:

For Tiff, press T once for 16-bit files, press T twice for 8-bit files.

For PSD, press P once for both 8 and 16-bit.
