Photoshop CC 2014 will not load files into stack

Yesterday I used the Photoshop scripts tool to create a gifographic. Today, I tried to do the same exact thing with a different infographic and PS will not load the files into the stack. When I select file -> scripts -> load files into stack the window pops up asking me to select the files. I select the files and click ok and nothing happens. The images do not load, there is no error message, nothing. I tried to go around this problem by loading each image as a layer and then trying to create a frame animation but when I click "create frame animation" in the timeline window, it comes up with 1 single layer despite the fact that all 7 of my image layers are selected.

Hoping someone can help me figure out what is wrong so I can finish this animation for my job. Thanks!
