Photoshop CC (2017) - "Cannot Complete Request Because File Was Not Found"

I've been trying to open jpeg images on photoshop cc 2017 but it wouldn't let me because "file was not found" when it is clear that they are in my folder. I can open all of them perfectly in other adobe problems, but I don't know what's wrong with photoshop. I've installed and uninstalled it a lot of times and that doesn't seem to work. I updated my computer's software too (Mac). I don't know what to do.

Please reinstall Photoshop CC 2017 via creative cloud desktop app and check if that helps.

Also, change the permission for the Adobe folders.

Location:

~/Library/Application folder/Adobe

/Library/Application folder/Adobe

I (or my customer) have already tried to reinstall Photoshop CC2017.

Yesteday I found the solution for my customers problem.

My customers OS was OSX 10.10.X and I found this:

( Photoshop will not open jpg or CR2 raw files | Photoshop Family Customer Community )

The latest versions of Ps and ACR dropped support for macOS 10.10. The minimum supported macOS version is now 10.11.

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/system-requirements.html

https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/system-requirements.html

If it's possible for you to update to 10.11 or higher, that would be worth a try to see if it solves your problem. Alternatively, you could try downgrading your ACR version to 9.12.1, which DID support 10.10. If you want to go that route, you can download the Mac installer for 9.12.1 here:

http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/photoshop/cameraraw/mac/9.x/CameraRaw_9_12_1_mac.zip

After updating the OSX the problem with opening JPG files are fixed.

But according my customer Photoshop is now running slow, so I have to look into that.

Jesper

Hi AnaPAlvarado,

Please reset the Photoshop preferences back to defaults and check if that helps.
