Photoshop CC 2017 - "Fill" crashes my PC

I do have an issue since upgrading my PC to an AMD Threadripper - the PC crashes (rebooting) when I use the "Fill" command.

I have tried several things but the issue is still there:

- updated the graphic card drivers to the latest version

- made sure Windows was up to date

- replaced video card

- tried all options under "Preferences/Performance/Use Graphic Card" (Basic/Normal/Advanced)

- disabled GPU support

Unfortunately it still crashes and it is really annoying because nothing gets logged into Windows Logs - no errors except "The previous reboot was not a clean one"

Really I don't know how to troubleshoot this - my PC is working fine games/apps ... anything but crashes when I need it the most.

PC Specs:

Win 10 Pro 64 bit

AMD Threadripper 1950

RAM 32 GB

Graphic card Nvidia Quattro P4000

Thank you, any help is greatly appreciated.

The problem seem to be fixed - I have installed the latest version of BIOS for my motherboard and now everything works fine.
