Question

Photoshop CC 2019

I had to cancel my Photoshop subscription because my version Photoshop CC 2019 was not working properly. I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall but it did not work. I am on an iMac 27" (mid-2011) and was told that I need to upgrade to a new machine. I cannot do this now as I am in the midst of a publishing project. Can you help?

My machine is running macOS Sierra v.10.12.6

Hi @Ilene23194685tp6d I'm sorry to hear about the problems you're having. Yes, macOS Sierra reached end-of-life support in November 2019. Can your computer OS update to run Big Sur or Monterey? Even then, you may not be able to run newer versions of Photoshop if your iMac's graphics card and memory don't meet the minimum requirements. If you cancelled your Creative Cloud subscription, then you are out of options until you have a computer that can run newer versions. You might want to try Photoshop Elements if you meet the minimum requirements there, or some other type of image editing programs until you can upgrade. Wish it was better news.

Thank you. I appreciate your quick response.
Adobe has got us all over a barrel and a very expensive one at that.
They do this obsolescence thing with hardware and software to force us to constantly upgrade OS’s or computers at $2000+ a pop.
It’s criminal in my opinion but corporations always win, don’t they?

BTW, I cancelled my account since I cannot afford a new computer now.
I would reopen it if they could at least supply a trial version of Photoshop CC2019 so I can finish my current project.
Thanks for listening.
