Photoshop cc 2019--images automatically maximize to full screen--how do I disable this?

When I have several image windows open, and want to switch between them, when I click on an image to make it active, it automatically goes full screen.  I want it to stay the small size I have set, so I can continue working on them without having to de-maximize it every time.  I work with many images at one time, and need them to stay un-maximized.  Is there a setting for his?  I amusing Windows 10 Pro.  Very time consuming an annoying.  Going back to legacy...

Do you edit in Tabs  Floating image windows.  I do not know why switching between documents would change your view.  Check your menu File>Scripts>Script Event Manager  see if there is an event handler setup for everthing.  I would think and everthing even handler may be able to do somthing like that.  If there is no handler  try resetting all tools and if the does not fix try resetting your preferences.
