Photoshop CC 2019 Spacebar move [branched]

i am having the same issue. very very annoying. i went into the keyboard shortcuts menu and tried to assign the spacebar to toggle to the hand tool and a warning stated that i can only use keys A through Z to assign to the handtool. the spacebar was perfectly placed to make the quick movements around the image and then toggle back to the tool you were using simply by releasing the spacebar.

would love a solution to this.

Can confirm spacebar doesn't function as previous version. Pan and scroll settings for my Wacom driver (6.3.24-1, because 30+ just breaks everything) haven't changed in several updates to PS but using the spacebar to pan around doesn't function at all.

Using the Hand Tool 'H', is a poor substitute (zooms out completely, only a box line to show position? guh.) Makes it almost impossible to make small moves to reposition the painting and destroys my flow.

If this is a 'feature' please put it back or let me have a legacy pan/scroll setting!

I'm using 10.14.5 with 20.0.4 The Spacebar does work, but then again I'm using a mid 2012 Macbook Pro.

So let's check System Preferences > Security & Privacy, is CC 2019 in this list and checked on?

The spacebar works for me in High Sierra with 20.0.2 as long as I am zoomed in. If I have also enabled Overscroll in Prefs > Tools, then it works even when I am not zoomed in.

It does not work when I am using the Type tool.
