I have now installed, uninstalled and re-installed PS CC 2020 - I am unable to save anything. "save" and "save as" do nothing. No dialog box, just a screen blip and then nothing. Am I missing something? I had to reinstall CC 2019

because of this. any help?? thanks!

HERE'S ONE SOLUTION: Uninstall the version you have, go to your Adobe Creative Cloud, click the little icon menu beside Photoshop, select "version" from the dropdown, and install Photoshop 21.0.2. /// This was the last working version, so all of the dialog boxes should open up correctly.... Oh and also 2 things 1: make sure you have Myriad Pro and Tahoma fonts installed on your computer (as Photoshop uses both fonts in its dialog boxes by default) and 2: this fix worked on my PC (I can only assume it works on other operating systems).

Installing the previous working version worked for me. I then upgraded and it is still working fine.

Agosto de 2020 y el problema sigue. Nada más abrir el programa ya se queda en negro, no existe página de inicio, y "guardar" y "guardar como" no funcionan.

First issue I've had with this. Working off my external HDD on W10/64bt. I just saved it to a different drive (desktop in this case). May work saving to an external/flash if you're working from your Master HDD? Odd, but worked for me (insert 'Elmo shrugs' gif.)

I have installed the new version and the same problem, however, I just reinstalled the version V21.0.3, and start working again. Open Photoshop from your computer. Do not use Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App because it will update Photoshop, and you will fall into the same problem again.

I feel your pain. My bigger files with many layers get hung up upon saving or take FOREVER. Slow load/open time and lag now when using tools. UGGG Only thing I’ve done is update software so it’s definitely this version issue!! What was I thinkng updating this early!!

I was having a similar issue, though i would get an error saying the file was not found. I figured it out for Windows 10 so i thought id share anyways case this works for whatever is going on for your system. You have to turn off or allow Photoshop through the "Controlled Folder Access" setting under Windows Defender. Turns out Windows is blocking access to adobe. Simply go to Windows Defender and open the Virus and Threat detection tab. Select "Manage Ransomware protection" at the bottom, then either allow a program through Controlled folder access or just turn the setting off. Be sure to restart your program just as a precaution before testing to see if it worked.
