Photoshop CC 2022 Auto-save Issues

Not trying to attack Adobe, not trying to talk about if its a good or bad practice to rely on a softwares auto-save.
I only have these questions:
1. Is/has there been a known issue, usre created or otherwise, with auto-saving in photoshop? (yes, i did an intial save that should have started the auto-save fuction)
2. Are there ways to correct them.
