Photoshop CC 22.3.1 and earlier versions: Brush problems while using liquify filter

Hey there community,

I hope there is someone who can help me with this problem:

(Windows 10, Photoshop CC 2021, Wacom Intuos Pro PTH-660)

I am using the liquify filter a lot. In particular I use it to retouch fashion images. In order to get nice and symmetrical images I create some guides automatically. These guides need to be visible within the liquify filter.

If the guides are turned on, the brush snaps to them if I get close. It is doing it only when I use my Wacom Intuos Pro Tablet with a Wacom pen. That makes it very difficult to use. When I disable the guides visibility, everything works good. It happens only in liquify filter, automatic snapping is turned off.

The problem occurs no matter if I do/use:

- Photoshop CC 2020, CC 2021 (all different available cloud versions)

- Wacom Tablet with WinTab or Windows Ink switched on and off, with PSUserConfig or not...

- With the latest Wacom drivers (+ older ones, +completely reinstalled)

- Different Wacom Pen

It does not happen in Photoshop CC 2019 which is unfortunately not available anymore (any way to get it back??)

Does not happen on a Mac.

Any suggestions what could help? I did not find a solution online yet. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction. I think it has something to do with automatic snapping setting being overridden by the liquify filter.

Thank you !

Hi!  Not sure if you've tried View> Snap to> and made sure Guides was unchecked.  I know you mentioned auto snapping, but wanted to mention this in case it was just that easy.  Good luck!

I did try that 😃 It has no effect in this situation. Also the error does not occur when I am on the regular working canvas. Only inside the filter window.
