Photoshop: Command M to modify light/dark doesn't work

Running 10.13.6 with CS2 photoshop. Until right now never had a problem with Command M---now only Command L works to modify light/dark. Help!

If you go to Image>Adjustments>Curves is Cmd+M assigned?

or

Go to Edit>Keyboard Shortcuts>Application Menus>Image>Adjustments>Curves and assign the shortcut
