Yeah, that was mentioned in the OP.  So, yeah, I think that that failed to fix this neverending nightmare of a problem. 

Look, I know you're trying to help, but it's really frustrating, as a working professional with clients waiting for delivery, to feel like we're paying for the privilege of being your beta testers.

Try trashing your Photoshop preferences. Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) immediately after launching Photoshop. You will be prompted to delete the current settings.
