Question

Photoshop Could not open "video file" because the video vile could not be opened.

Was able to load mp4 and mov files with no problems. Now it's giving me this error. 

I'm running ver 23.5 on windows 10. Tried resetting, reinstalling, loading a previous version. Nothing's wrong with my drive. It's adobe acting up as usual.

Hi @eprince618 sorry to hear this.

 

Let's make sure we're in a default state and there are no stale settings somewhere: 

Restore your preferences using this manual method:  

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually  

Does it work correctly? 

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back. 

 

 

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

im going to bump this becasue ive been having this issue as of this morning, and it seems someone else wont awnser. ive reinstalled adobe in its entierety, also version 23, upwards to the latest version as of the other day. 
running windows as well, nothing seems to be out of place on the hardware end of things either
