photoshop crashed when 3d filters (generate normal and bump map) are selected

Question

Hello,

i am using Photoshop 25.6.0 on mac studio m1 ultra - Sonoma 14.4.1 .

at first,

when i clicked on generate normal and bump map filters,

setting window of the filters were not opening.

i tried to solve the issue by making different changes on settings but they did not worked.

to solve this problem,

i uninstalled and re-installed photoshop.

But this time, when i try this 3D filters, photshop is just crashing.

i took some s.s of photoshop setttings.

if anyone who can help me to solve this issue, i would be so greatful.

I don't believe there is anyway to solve the issue.

The cause is Adobe is in the process of removing 3D from Photoshop.

With each Photoshop version since 2021 (ps ver 22.2) more and more of 3D is removed with each new version and subsequent updates, until now in Photoshop 2024 (ps ver 25.6) very little of anything having to do with 3D works even though it might still be in the menus.

If you want a Photoshop version with fully working 3D, Adobe suggests installing Photoshop 22.2 as described in the above Adobe KB.
