Photoshop crashes

Trying to record a macro for making pictures smaller. The program crashes everytime before I get to the end.

Could you please post a screenshot with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Actions with the expanded Action, Options Bar, …) visible? 

 

What have you done for trouble-shooting so far? 

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

Just a bit old fashioned and think that I purchase a program and it should work without me doing so much stuff that is not my speciality. Win 10 and the latest version of PS is what I have.

You wouldn’t expect a car to keep on running without having to fill up the tank, changing the oil etc. occassionally, would you? 

 

What are the steps in the recorded Action? 

Could you please post a screenshot with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Actions with the expanded Action, Options Bar, …) visible?
