Question

Photoshop crashes anytime I try and use the 3D filter

I don't get it, I figured it's because my computer doesn't have enough space, so I've attempted to use an external hard drive, switch it to just use that in the "Scratch & Disk" preferences but everytime I click "ok" it just crashes and completely exits the program. I've updated both my computer (MacBook air) and the software itself. Please help if you can!

Which Filter are you talkking about exactly?

Is your GPU up to the task?

What are Photoshop’s GPU settings?

What are the actual exact versions of Photoshop and OS?

Photoshop version 21.0.2
Computer: macOS High Sierra version 10.13.6
Processor 1.4 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 4GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Startup Disk Macintosh HD
Graphics Intel HD graphics 5000 1537MB

The link says my GPU should be up to the task...
the specific filter I’m talking about is the 3D height map feature

Not sure how to find photoshop’s GPU
