Photoshop crashes when I open ARW file

When I try to open a ARW file in my Photoshop 2020 program it immediately crashes without a crash report. Photoshop does not crash when I open a JPEG file.

I have tried disabling GPU in both the camera raw preferences and in the Photoshop preferences but it makes no difference (both times first restarting Photoshop).

I am at a loss as to what to try next, can someone help?

@Elseline5C55 try resetting your ACR preferences

If that doesn't help, can you post your Photoshop system info, in Photoshop go to Help > System Info, hit the copy button and paste the entire thing into this thread
