Photoshop crashes when opening multiple photos as layers

Good morning,

As the subject says I am trying to open multiple images as layers and photoshop continues to crash and close down about halfway through. I am trying to open as many as 200 images for star trails photos, and photoshop continues to crash and close before all the layers open. No notification why.

I am running LR classic and PS CC (where did my PS classic go) on a PC.

When Photoshop crashes, one of the first things to try is resetting the preferences:

Try resetting your Photoshop preferences. Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) immediately after launching Photoshop. You will be prompted to delete the current settings.

(Mac OS only) Open the Preferences folder in the Library folder*, and drag the Adobe Photoshop CS Settings folder to the Trash.

*To manually delete Photoshop preferences:
Quit Photoshop.
Navigate to Photoshop's Preferences folder:
macOS: Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings
Windows 10: Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop [version]/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings

I have precisely the same issue when trying to load 55 macro pictures for then running some alignment and focus stacking in PS. I am running LrC 10.4 Camera raw 13.4 and PS 2021. Has anyone solved this issue?

Have you tried Adobe's  updated software Photoshop 2022 and ACR 14.  What  platform are you using PC|Mac OS version,  Device drivers etc? You provide little info where are those 55 macro pictures that we can examine.  Is your issue related to your software, hardware, or files?
