Photoshop CS2 Always stops working as soon as i want to do something

Question

Hey guys,im really desperate now that im here in the Forum. Im having a lot of trouble with CS2 now that i installed it on my laptop with windows 10 64bits. I dont know if its because of the prefferences. I tried every setting and still nothing right. Its just freezes and crashes right away when i e.g. want to make a text somewhere.Does anybody have an Idea what i can do to make it work?For more details just write down below.Thanks in advance!

In any case, as mentioned above, using a piece of obsolete software and blithely updating all around it is not a good idea …

Photoshop CS2 is supposed to work with Microsoft® Windows® 2000 with Service Pack 4, or Windows XP with Service Pack 1 or 2 according to this:

Older versions of Photoshop system requirements

When one decides to stick with obsolete software one should make sure one is able to roll back any and all software and hardware updates in case they »break« the set-up.
