Question

Photoshop CS5 and Canon 90D compatibility

I have an older version of Photoshop, CS5 w/ Bridge. I purchased a new camera recently, a Canon 90D.  It doesn't seem to talk with my Photoshop version, although I wasn't too surprised.  What can I do to get these two on friendly terms ?

Thank you

Hi there,

Photoshop CS5 is a very old version and uses Camera Raw version 6.7. The Canon 90D has recently been released and needs 11.4 as the minimum Camera Raw version which Photoshop CS5 can not support.

Please check: https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html

You can either update to the latest version of Photoshop through a subscription or convert the images from the Canon 90D to the DNG format using the Adobe DNG converter and then use them with Photoshop CS5.

You can download the DNG converter from here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/adobe-dng-converter.html
