Photoshop CS5 constantly crashes on WIndows 10

Help!  I've been running Photoshop CS5 on Windows 10 for over a year without any issues until recently.  Photoshop will open for a second and then immediately close with no visable error message.  If I hold down Shift-Alt-Ctrl and delete the preferences file I can usually get it to stay open for a little while, but when I try to open a .psd it immediately closes.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck.

The event log always point to nttdl.dll as the culprit, so I;ve run the SFC and although it did replace some files, I still have the same issue.  I've pasted the event error log below, please help me get this up and running so I can process my Christmas card in time.

Faulting application name: Photoshop.exe, version: 12.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x4bbc5b10

Thank you in advance for any help youi can provide.

SLAtkins, good evening.
During this time, Windows 10 was updated.
System file changes due to the update may be affected.

If possible, can you confirm the behavior on other non-updated PCs?

As you may already know, it is necessary to take into account that the operation guarantee OS of CS5 is up to 7 on Windows, so use on Windows 10 is not guaranteed.
Even though Windows is highly backward compatible, it can be said that it is a little impossible to use software that is more than 9 years old, and it can be said that the power of the current PC cannot be fully utilized.
