I have been processing images from Nikon D3S an Nikon D5 on CS6. Till recently it was working well, I am not sure what has changed, NEF files from Nikon D5 are not opening in CS6. Is this problem faced by others? Is there a fix?

Please see for yourself which version of Camera Raw supports a camera and which version of Photoshop is compatible with that ACR version:

As D_Fosse mentioned, using the free DNG Converter would be an alternative.

The D5 requires ACR version 9.5 - but the latest ACR version that will run under CS6 is 9.1.1.

You need to use the DNG Converter for the D5 files - or update to a current Photoshop version. CS6 was obsolete long before that camera came out.
