Photoshop default app

Hi,

 

photoshop keeps being my default app for pictures even after I've changed the default app several times. I have a Macbook Pro M1. If someone knows how to solve this, I am all ears.

You didn't say which file format you changed — "pictures" is generic. You need to change the default app for jpeg, psd, png, gif, etc., separately. Select a file with a .jpeg extension in Finder and choose Get Info (Cmd+F, right-click, or File > Get Info) and change it there. Be sure to choose for all files of this type, not just the selected file. Repeat for the other extensions.

 

If you are doing this, it may be an issue with the M1 with changing default apps and you might check on the Apple forum.

Hi Jane, thanks for your answer. I've ARW pice only on my mac. I've done it several time but just like you said, it might be an apple issue. Thanks
