Photoshop does NOT save ANY FILE, at all!

Hi I am using the PS 2022 23.4.1 version (Apple M1 12.4)

And every now and then PS just decides that it is going to turn off its saving function altogether. 

It happens suddenly and without any notice, but when I hit CMD+S it just does nothing... Save As, or save for the web... nothing works... the file is as good as gone.

Resetting the Photoshop preferences back to the factory defaults often sorts out these kinds of issues.

See if upgrading to the latest version of Photoshop (23.4.2) sorts out the issue.

Also resetting the Photoshop preferences may help too. You can reset them under the General tab in Photoshop preferences, then close and reopen the application.
