So I have this problem when i try to Save a file in photoshop it doesn't complete the save. It saves quickly to 99% and it stays their for so long. I cant cancel the save process. So I have to force quit all the time and restart my laptop. I dont know why it does this when i dont even have a large file. Maximum 6 layers for retouching thasts it!! Also I tried uninstalling PS as well as reseting my Preferences as well as purging all. AS WELL AS saving the file to PSB and it still doesnt manage to work the way it did before. My laptop works perfectly just my PS SAVE is the issue. This issue has been accuring very often since Nov 2019-NOW. Ive had PS since October last year as well my Macbook. I feel this problem might be easy to solve but i have not found the solution yet. So if anyone that has an idea of what the solution to this problem i have, be please let me know as soon as posible thank you so much!!

Hi. This can happen with very large files but as you say, that is not the case with your situation.

A few questions to help identify the problem more:

  • Are you saving to your local hard drive or a network?
  • If you Save as a JPG, does that also have the problem? Is it just when saving to PSDs?
  • If you flatten the image and then Save as (any file type) does that work?

Another thing worth doing is updating your video card driver. This sometimes causes issues with Photoshop.
