Question

Photoshop droplet is resizing files

Hello,

I created an action to turn EPS files into JPEG for my Droplet. It goes

>Open EPS file

>Save for web JPEG/default save settings to my desktop folder

>Close without saving

Super simple. I need the droplet to resize multiple files and keep their original file sizes. For example I will have 10 EPS files that are 200x355 pixels, 20 EPS files that are 400x250px, 100 EPS files that are 320x410px etc... but the droplet will resize all of them to the size of one file. It looks like it resizes all the files to whatever size my original action recorded. It would be extremely inconvenient to have multiple droplets, as we use many different file sizes that need to be converted from EPS to JPEG.

I have a coworker who has the exact same actions for their droplet and they do not have this issue.

Any ideas on how to get my Action to not record a resizing action?

What version of photoshop and operating system are you using?

Try leaving out the Open EPS step in your action/droplet.

That records the parameters for the file you used during the recording of the action and will apply those to the other files.

I am using Photoshop CC 2017 on a 2017 iMac running OS Sierra 10.12.6

After trying to record the action after having the file open, the droplet does not work and has errors preventing changes. My coworker has the same exact actions and does not experience these issues, and despite re-recording my actions I can't seem to get around errors or resizing the files.
