Photoshop file disappeared

I created a drawing in photoshop one year ago and recently opened it through my project library. I only took a look at the project before closing out the application. Now, the project has entirely disappeared. It's not in my computer, under my project library, under recently opened. I can't find it anywhere. I've even looked in the autorecovery file under app data > roaming > adobe> adobe photoshop>autorecovery. It's seriously just disappeared.

Is there anything I can do? What happened to make a previously saved file that was not altered in any way just disappear?
