Photoshop Files Disappearing

Question

I don't know if this is a bug or I'm just not realizing something, but today I went to open a Photoshop file (under my recents tab on the home screen) and it just.. disappeared. I then tried to open another few, thinking it was some weird glitch; they disappeared, too.

I checked my recently deleted section and there's nothing there, so I'm assuming they're still here somewhere. Though, I can't seem to find the files when I use the search bar in Photoshop and in my computer documents.

A couple of the files opened that were opened a few minutes ago, but the older ones didn't. The weird part is that when they disappear, another older file appears at the bottom.

Most likely, the images have been moved or renamed or deleted, which is why Recents can't find them. Do you know where they are (or were) stored? We're they on a flash drive or other removable device?

For testing purposes, can you open a file, close it, then try to open it from from the Home Screen?
