Photoshop force closes after launch

I'm using Windows 11 and have updated to the latest Photoshop version.

Regardless of using "run as admin" or the usual application opening. Photoshop seems to show the loading screen and then close.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling; using a different version or restarting the computer before using Photoshop. This issue still persists.

Hi @S J Labro you do not have enough HD space to launch Photoshop. You need to free up more space (50-100 GB) to effectively run with a scratch disk.

Hi @S J Labro you will inevitably have the issue come up again as you use up your C: drive space. The cleaner tool removed enough cache, etc to allow you to open but this is temporary.

You need to go to Preferences/Scratch Disk and make sure you have a drive designated with the proper free space for PS to continute to run.

@Ged_Traynor
The Adobe Cleaner Tool worked and I can access Photoshop once again.
I'll keep you posted if this issue happens again in the next few weeks.

Hi @S J Labro how much free HD space do you currently have on your C: drive?

@S J Labro try manually resetting your Photoshop preferences
https://helpx.adobe.com/ie/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually
Remember to backup your settings before doing the preference reset
https://helpx.adobe.com/ie/photoshop/using/preset-migration.html

If that doesn't help try using the Adobe Cleaner Tool
