Photoshop freeze when I try to drag any element from one file to another

Question

Most of the times the Photoshop freezes when I was trying to drag any element from one file to another. (One file tab to another file tag ). It's annoying and when I was in an urgent situations I had nothing to do. Please help me resolve this. I tried upgrading my laptop but the issue exist same.

Hi @Andrew Fox sorry to hear this. Have you tried updating to 23.4.2 and see if that solves this?

Let's make sure we're in a default state and there are no stale settings somewhere:

Does it work correctly?

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.
