Question

Photoshop freezes and stops to work

I'm at my wit's end with this one. Shortly after starting the work, Photoshop simply freezes with a cursor of the current tool and completely stops to work, and the only solution is to close it down with Task Manager. Btw, Task Manager also shows that its CPU drops to zero. I've tried everything: updating GPU drivers, reinstall, update the software itself, tweaking something inside the app. Nothing seems to work. Please, help

Hi @Sue K2126 , sorry to hear you are seeing freezes and crashes.

I'm not seeing any submitted crash reports from you in our system. If you haven't done so already, please submit all Crash Reports along with your email address: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/submit-crash-reports.html That will help us diagnose the crash.

If you roll back to the previous build, do the issues still persist?

Thank you,

Agreed! This update has made the software unusable. It freezes and crashes randomly even doing the most mundane tasks like adding simple text. Please fiz asap - I have time sensitive work to complete and I can't get anything done - I turned off auto updates. lesson learned for sure!

Go to Preferences > Tools... and uncheck "Enable Flick Panning" and "Animated Zoom". Does the problem go away?
