Photoshop freezes while panning with brush selected
First of all, I originally stopped using photoshop 2020 because of this exact issue, and have been using photoshop 2019 every since. Since I'm still paying a monthly subscription, I figured I'd try upgrading to the latest version of Photoshop, as surely this issue would be fixed by now. It's not, which is incredibly frustrating.
The issue: when drawing in Photoshop with a brush and panning around using the spacebar, Photoshop's canvas will completely freeze up and drawing with the brush does nothing anymore. Neither does panning or trying to use other tools. To be clear; Photoshop itself is still running, and my pc isn't frozen either. I can close the file and re-open the photoshop file (without shutting down Photoshop) and the tools will work again.
How to reproduce: I can easily reproduce this problem by drawing with a brush, panning with the space bar, drawing with the brush again and then panning more with the spacebar, frequently pressing spacebar to get to different parts of the canvas (this is pretty much my drawing workflow). At some point while doing this, without fail, my navigator panel on the right will quickly flash black, and then the input of all tools will be gone.
Info that might be useful: Machine specs are irrelevant; this issue is persistant for over 3 years, over which I used at least 3 different types of computers, with one of them being a laptop. All Windows, though. I'm using a wacom tablet (cintiq, though it happens with intuos as well. I'm using a 24inch at the moment, but the issue was here on the 13inch as well) which seems to be part of the problem. Can't recreate this issue with my mouse.
I'm not sure if these forums reach actual adobe devs or how I can get their attention on this problem, but it's very frustrating. Seeing the constant gimmick-y features being introduced to Photoshop, it's very annoying to see a 3 year old bug not getting fixed, even after having read many posts about it. I teach concept art classes from time to time, and in my last class pretty much ALL 30 students had this issue. They just 'got used to closing and restarting their files' pretty much nonstop.
