Question

Photoshop freezes, wont let me touch anything

For the past month or so my Photoshop CC app will not let me touch anything.  I will open the application, and it will either 1.  take about 15 minutes for it to allow me to open a file, click a tab, or anything.  Or 2.  it will come up with a "Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver and has temporarily disabled enhancements which user the graphics hardware." and crash.
Everything I've looked as says to update my graphics card, and let me just go ahead and put it out there that My NVIDIA graphics card is currently up to date with no problems.

I can tell you that I just bought a monster computer that was meant to be able to run my creative cloud apps and function as a gaming computer, and it is incredibly aggravating that I am paying a monthly subscription for something that doesn't work // and I can't find any amount of help for.

Monster Gaming Computer suggests multiple graphics cards.  If that is the case with your system, then Photoshop does not play well with more than one GPU

Tell us a bit about your system?  If you can open Photoshop, go Help > System Info > Copy and paste to this thread.

    What is your operating system?
How many drives, and what are your Scratch arrangements?

If Windows 10, open Resource Monitor while Photoshop is playing up and see where the activity is.

Check Event Viewer for faulting processes.

    Operating system:  Windows 10

Drives: 2 (Hard drive and solid state)

Scratch Arrangements:  (No clue what this is)

    Resource monitor

    • PID: 28836
    • Status:  Not responding
    • Threads: 145
    • CPU: 0
    • AVG CPU: 0

I can't access anything through the Photoshop application

I don't understand what I'm looking for in the Event Viewer
