Hello, do you have other programs that might steal the focus away from Photoshop when you do that? Any Browser, like Chrome?

Hi Sure I'm using chrome but I've never had a problem with any other
version whilst running chrome? I can usually run a lot of Apps I have a
full spec IMAC that runs like a F1 usually!
I actually realised this freezing is happening on my MAC pro as well!
That's also full spec with a ton of RAM in it!
I'm upgrading my OS now on the Imac to the latest version hoping it may
help??

Hi there,

We are sorry about the exprience with Photoshop.  Please share the version of Photoshop. Does the app freezes while performing any specific task or using a particular tool other than what you mentioned?

Would you mind going to the "Preferences" of Photoshop, then "Performance" and uncheck the option to "Use Graphics Processor"? Once done, quit and relaunch Photoshop to check if that helps.

Also, please uninstall and re-install the latest drivers for your graphics card (from the manufacturers website). Then restart the computer to check if that makes any difference. To get started, you may checkout the steps mentioned here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/photoshop-slow-lags.html
