Photoshop Freezing when I open a file

I have a late 2012 iMac, using macOS Catalina version 10.15.5, and have never had any issues running After Effects or Photoshop but for the past few days, I go in Photoshop and try to open a PDF file and it just spins and spins and never opens or opens in like 20 mins. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both 2019 Photoshop v 20.0.9 and 2020 Photoshop v 21.2, I tried to uninstall and reinstall Adobe Creative Cloud but it wouldn't let me since I have several Adobe programs but if I need to uninstall all and start over I can if someone thinks that would help.

 

I know my computer is older but I've always been able to run Adobe CC 19-20 programs fine until now.

 

If anyone knows anything to try, please advise.

Oh, I should add it just dawned on me to try and open another file type and I was able to open psd, png, and jpeg. So maybe it's just PDF's?
