Photoshop Genrative fill is filling up the wrong disc

Using any AI tool in photoshop uses disc space, as almost any other feature..

The thing with it is, it uses a lot of space and for some reason it uses it only on my C drive. I have set my scratch discs to my D an E drives, as my system drive is reserved for my system only and is quite small. This leads to having my entire machine come up with errors and issues all over in other apps and programs every time PS AI is used, while I have around 400 GB of free scratch disc available that are not being used at all.

Can someone confirm if this is a problem with my setup, a bug or simply how it works for now?

Each time you hit generate, you get three examples to compare, and they all take drive space if the layered file is saved to disk. You can delete any that you don't like, and save drive space.

Hi @La Mula Rusa can you go to Photoshop Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details in a reply. Post only once as the system takes time to process the large amount of data.

Thanks @La Mula Rusa neither of your scratch disks are particularly large - both around ~120 gb free space. GF is known to eat a lot of scratch disk and if you are test running a lot of variations those could be filling up forcing Photoshop to "spill over" into your C: drive.

Here's a good test - run PS as you normally would. As soon as you see the C: drive filling up, go back to the help menu and check your scratch disk sizes in the system info. It's down the list past the GPU listings and your subscription info.

D:\, 931.5G, 113.2G free

See if they are less than 10 GB free on either/both.
