Photoshop is deleting files automatically

My coworker and I work with Photoshop every day and 3 weeks ago, we noticed that some files we are saving on the network drive are being deleted for some reason.

I'm sure it's not the network's issue because none of the other files are being deleted. not even Illustrator ones. The autosave is set properly and it works but the working file is disappearing frequently. Once, we saw the file being deleted from the folder. Since our network doesn’t have a trash bin, we lost the file for good.

Did anyone experienced something similar or have a solution to this problem?

The solution is to never save directly to a network drive, or any external drive for that matter. Save locally, then move.

Working directly over a network has never been recommended, and it is explicitly and officially not supported by Adobe.

People get away with this for small Word and Excel files, but a Photoshop file is huge in comparison. A save takes a long time. Any corruption is that much more likely to hit any single file. It's just statistics.
