Photoshop is stuck at 21% while Saving

Question

Stuck at 21% in the saving process, won't let me cancel the saving process, and it won't let me save other open windows.  Im trying to save as PSD.  I just spent two hours working on this image.  And this is not my first time. what am I paying for at this point.

Hi there,

Sorry that Photoshop is stuck at 21% while saving your files.

Which version of Photoshop are you using and on which operating system?

Where are you trying to store these images? Locally or on an external drive/network drive?

Could you please turn on the legacy compositing in Photoshop preferences > Performance tab > restart Photoshop and let us know if that helps.
