Photoshop is the only app not accepting my pen tablet

I currently own a Huion pen tablet, and for everything on my computer it works fine, however once I get into photoshop, around 50% of the time instead of working like normal, it instead will not process my pen hovering, will only move the curser if my pen is touching my tablet, and won't actually activate any pressure into the app (clicking buttons, drawing, etc).

Can anybody please help me understand what's functionally wrong with my app?

Dear all,

I have a problem with the interaction with Photoshop and my Huion tablet. I recently downloaded Photoshop 2023 (version 24.1) to start drawing with my Huion Tablet: NEW 1060PLUS(8192). However, the pressure sensitivity of the brushes do not work within Adobe Photoshop. Google searches indicated that this is a fairly common problem and mainly caused by one of the two problems: 1. Incorrect Settings or 2. Windows Ink disabled.

However, when I try to change the settings to “pen pressure”, an exclamation point appears besides the box (Figure 1). This exclamation point could be caused by the disabling of Windows Ink. But Windows Ink is enabled, as seen within the Huion Tablet App (Figure 2). Interestingly, the pen pressure does work in Adobe Illustrator and Krita (Figure 3).

Measurements I took to solve the problem:

- reinstalled Photoshop

- Update my Huion driver from Driver_14.8.90 to Driver_15.6.2.80, but Driver_15.6.2.80 did not communicate well with my pen stylus. Therefore I have installed Driver_14.8.90 again, and made sure no other Huion drivers are now found on my computer

- After contact with Huion, they suggested to Run as Administrator the Huion tablet app, which I did, but nothing changed. (I updated it with my virusscanner off)

Therefore I would like to ask if you have any suggestions on what I could do to allow pen pressure in Photoshop. I am absolutely out of ideas. I just want to draw 😞

Let's make sure we're in a default state and there are no stale settings somewhere:

Does it work correctly?

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Thank you for your reply! I really appreciate it. I am still struggling with the pen pressure, and I tried to perform your first suggestions, but although I found the map I struggle to find the pathway, because I suspect certain maps are hidden. But I know it excists because could view the pathway when I search for Adobe photoshop 2023 Settings in my file explorer. So I will update you when I have figured it out and tried if it actually solves my problem.

When I started photoshop to copy the system info, I got a CPU warning that I never have gotten before. I did not take a screen shot, but imagne red crosses instead of checkboxes and 0 RAM. Therefore I also tried to copy the system info a second time. Know all system info is all in dutch. Do you prefer if i switch the settings to English?
