Question

Photoshop isn't working since last update

Hi - My Photoshop won't open files since the last update.   I get an error message that says "Could not complete your request because the file is not found."  That's no matter which file I try, and yes -- those that were "found" the other day. (Jpegs.)

Anyone else having this issue?

I'm a full dues-paying member of Creative Cloud.

I still have Photshop CS6 on my system, so I'm not completely bereft, but clearly something's wrong with the latest upgrade.

Yeah, I just finished "updating" Photoshop and now it's screwed up... my work is on hold...
[Just like my iPhone and iTunes updates [a couple of days ago] and Apple Photos is now screwed up too.
What's up with these updates that are so apparently badly managed?

Was having the same issue since the last update and read the suggestion to update camera raw. Since that application was already up to date I decided to install the next Mac OSX version because it said my current version couldn't update anymore. Now the error you mentioned is gone, but everything is completely black when opening a file.. useless basically.

My problem isn't that dire, but the new version of photoshop didn't save a file I had thought it had saved, then crashed when I tried to close it. I now find it is missing "gradients" from its list in the Window menu and the gradient tool has only one option so doesn't work.

I am having the same problem since updating Photoshop CC yesterday.  I can only open files in Preview & then copy/paste into Photoshop. PSD files open OK, it is only JPGs which appear to be affected.  Appreciate any help & advice.
