Photoshop Locks up

My photoshop locks up when using the color adjust tool. Who else is having this issue, it's a very big problem for me since this is my living?

If using the current version, try any of the following:

1. Turn off the rulers

2. Move the adjustment dialogue outside the Photoshop window.

Or

3. Use adjustment layers.
