Photoshop Maximize Feature

In CS2 I could click the maximize button on any image window and that image would fill the workspace and leave all the tools visible. This was great for a quick zoom in and then minimize to move back out where I could see multiple windows again.

Now that I have upgraded to Photoshop CC, when I click the maximize button it fills the screen but the tools are missing.  This is making me crazy.  Is there a way to set the maximize button so that it does what it used to do in PS2?  Pleaseeeee!

Thank you

ctrl/cmd-0 will fill the image to the screen with the tools.

You could try hitting F to go to Full Screen with Menu Bar and then Shift+F when you done to return to viewing all the open documents.

Try Un-docking the Toolbox and Panels.

    How does one do that?

To Un-dock: Grab the top bar of the Toolbox or Panel, and drag it away from the edge of the screen. To Re-dock, drag back over to the edge of the screen until you see the edge light up in blue, then release the mouse.

I keep the Toolbox Un-docked otherwise new Docs will open on top of it.

Thank you.  This does just what I want it to do, but then how do you reverse it?  So that it goes back to the previous size?

Not sure about the previous size, I use ctrl-+ and ctrl-- to increase and decrease the image size.
