Photoshop mockup

I downloaded a mockup from graphicburger.com and when I click on the smart object to insert my logo, it keeps showing that my logo is too big and it won't let me resize my logo. Why won't photoshop let me scale my logo to be smaller to fit into the mockup dimensions?

Share the link to the mockup you download and then others can test it out.  Best way to find the solution.

How are you getting your logo into the smart object? If you used duplicate layer or copy past or drag  and drop and the new logo layer is to large you should be able to use free transform to resize the layer to fit within the smart object canvas.  If you use place instead place should scale your logo to fit within the objects canvas with photoshop resize during place preference.  If you are using replace content. Replacement object are required to be exactly the same size aspect ratio and print resolution as the object in the template psd.

Why don’t you post a screenshot with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible?

How exactly are you trying to scale your logo, did you place it as a Smart Object within the Smart Object, …?
