A couple of weeks i have a problem with photoshop. It takes up to 10 minutes to start. After photoshop has started, it works fine.

It doesn't shows any errors, i have the latest version and had also made a new installation of photoshop. Any idea what is wrong? Thanks

A large number of active/installed fonts can also bog down a start up.

Hi,

Photoshop has to read every ICC profile on your system to validate it - as it starts up. DO you have a massive number of ICC profiles. I've never seen that add minutes to start up time but its worth a thought.

Also it's real helpful in trouble shooting if you can tell us whether you made any changes before this slow startup symptom commenced? And some details about your computer, operating system, memory available etc.

I hope this helps

if so, please "like" my reply

thanks

Hi

What is shown on the splash screen during the long delay?

Do you have any 3rd party plug ins installed?

Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences (Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Graphic Processor Settings) and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

What have you done for trouble-shooting so far?

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:
