Photoshop - No "Save" or "Save As" Dialog

Hello Community!

Sometimes (right now again) i encounter a problem where Photoshop does not open the dialog for saving

the file. neither "save as" or "save" function does work then. it happened a few times with Photoshop 2022, but now with 2023 its the same issue again. My workaround is that i can save the file online in the Adobe Cloud, close Photoshop and open that Cloud File in the restarted programm and then i can store the file on my disc. I am wondering if anyone knows about the problem and can help me to avoid this in the future.

I am afraid that this hack will not work when i am somewhere with a bad internet connection (that happens often) and i would like to solve this before it happens again.

let me know if you need more specific information about my system:

Macbook Pro 202116 Inch  M1 Max / 32 GB

Cheers,

Josef

Run the updates for Photoshop. The lastest update (24.0.1) may have resolved this issue.

Another possibility: in System Preferences (System Settings in Ventura), >Security & Privacy, >Full Disk Access, do you see Photoshop listed? If not, add it and try again.
This explains how to do the same process in Lightroom; just pick Photoshop instead:

Try this - go to Preferences/File Handling and check "Enable Legacy Save As". Does that help?
