Photoshop not working at ALL

whenever i try to do anything its acting up. I draw a line, it stops half stroke and erases, try to save, doesnt. later i try to open a file and it wont. i try to scale something and it doesnt change size or angle. I've done every tutorial but it does not save. ive messed around with preferences and the problems are still there. Im getting extremely antsy with this and its really peeving my reccomendation for photoshop
