Photoshop object selection tool issue using m1 max

I am looking to purchase the Mac Studio with the M1max chip for my graphic design business.  I have read that the object selection tool does not capture the image properly and I am wondering if the issue has been fixed the the recent photoshop updates.  This is a tool I utilize alot in making my designs.
