Hello, I have hp elitebook(i5) which says builtin Intel HD graphics 4400. Can I use photoshop on it or in general any software from adobe like after effects, illustrator, lightroom...? Since I'm planning to take up a course on one of them, will this laptop serve the function? Thank you!

You will want to check the specifications of your laptop against the official Adobe system requirements for the applications you want to use. Below are links to the Photoshop and After Effects system requirements so you know what to look for; you can look up the system requirements for rest of the applications you’re interested in.

After Effects system requirements

Your laptop will also need to have the amount of RAM stated by the system requirements.

In general, that laptop sounds older since it uses Intel HD Graphics 4400, which appears to have been released back in 2013. Adobe applications run on an i5 (it’s what I have), but there are many generations of Intel Core i5, and current Adobe applications tend to work better on the later generations. The video applications require 6th generation or better. Also, Adobe applications will run much better if your i5 is quad core, not dual core.

It sounds like your laptop might be able to run Photoshop and the design applications if it has an up-to-date version of Windows 10 and meets the RAM requirements, but it will probably run them kind of slowly. It may not be able to run the video applications, which have higher system requirements.
